A red-haired woman moves through the galleries of an old palazzo, asking the mirrors who she is. One of them answers with a black bull. She cuts her hair, puts on brocade and heavy gold, and goes to meet him — this time not in the glass. They hold each other's eyes. Then she is riding him.
